The Real Me
My only "deep" poem...hope you guys/gals like it.
"The Real Me" Look at me down deep inside To see the secrets that I hide You think you know the real me But you only know the pretend me The me that laughs When I really cry The me that smiles When I really frown I go to bed thinking an unhappy thought About how I was teased, tormented, and childhood lost I don't have the happiest life For I also live in a world of strife My life isn't all happy and sane But I also live with plenty of pain You're too fat and you're too ugly Those words left me cold and empty You look sad, would you like a hug Those words lifted me far above The real me can shine through But only if you're ready to see the truth All I ask is please don't laugh Or you may never know me Please let me cry on your shoulder Even when we get a little older When I look down PLEASE! Don't frown Please just offer a smile To lift my heart a little higher You think you know the real me But you only know the pretend me Look at me down deep inside To see the secrets that I hide...

We lived RIGHT next to the school and I'd take my little stereo out and dance to music. I didn't care if anyone saw me...I just danced. I sang a lot too. Maybe that's why I had the solos in the school plays. Who knows... So yeah, there's a little about my childhood. It sucked. *listen to the thunder roll*

Its great becuase it has a meaning that I think relates to me alot. Like you most people don't see the real me. People come to me when they have a problem because I am good at listning. But to be good at that I have to hide any problems about my own past.

thats good nadine. i can understnad all that u are saying. about, eh, hiding urself.
i give a little about myself to new peeps. but mainly i let them know exactly who i am...so that way i dont waste no time, if they are just going to jam later after i show them who i really am. ya know? keep writing girl.

It Shouldn't Matter The Type of Poem
i like your poems, Nadine...and it doesn't matter if your poems are about love or anything. most of my poems are depressing or about finding love or about a guy or something. i have a few on Poetry.com and 2 of them made it to the publicists and are now going to be part of Poetry.com's book. So it doesn't matter what kind of poem it is...I've been writing poetry and short stories since I was 10, so as long as it's good, has meaning, and makes people think, whether good, bad, or depressing or loveing it's good to have it gone pro. You know? I made a girl cry last year from one of my poems---I was like, oops...
