It wasn't the best script, but the special effects were done well enough to be fun to watch :.)
But, the cage is unexpectedly unlocked by a bright critter, reopening the cage and leaving Nicholas Cage at large again.

Sadly, National Treasure and National Treasure 2 are just a movie, which like so many of my DVD's (or vhs) can be broken.
 Especially when Used like a frizby for a dog. DESTROYED
