American Dad

Never gave this show even a first thought, so I barely knew it exist.
That is, until now! It's definitely not as good as Family Guy, but it's pretty funny.
Roger the Alien is constantly saying and doing some funny ass shit.
Just thought I'd share...

Re: American Dad

I actually think I like it better than Family Guy now. Family Guy got old, the jokes overused or unoriginal.

The best American Dad episode is the one where Steve thinks he gets into Hogwarts and Stan finds out his new best friend is an atheist.

REALLY? no. that's not what i meant. i just don't know why there are two shows when they seem so similar. some of the characters seem almost identical.

Both shows are stupid in my opinion.
Family Guy is way overrated, and American Dad is atrociously boring.

I have not seen enough American Dad to like it better than Family Guy. Family Guy is pretty much pushed down our throats since it is on at least three channels and always on. I am not sure when American Dad even comes on cause unlike you I cant tape my shows and watch them at my leisure. I really want to see that Hogwarts episode though so save it on your tv in case i ever come over. Roger is my favourite character on American Dad by far. I love that Patrick Stewart is a voice actor on the show, just like I love that Adam West is the Mayor on Family Guy.

I chose only to watch Family Guy on DVD or online for that very reason. There are similarites between both shows as far as design goes.
I agree with you about Roger, he is by far the most entertaining character on American Dad in my opinion. Both comedies consist of humor that is sharp-witted, sarcastic, unapologetic, and random. That's a recipe for success no matter what, as far as I'm concerned.

Here's a link to 20 episodes that you can watch at your leisure:

Fox censors Family Guy so I prefer to watch it on DVD or on Adult Swim.

That's the episode where Roger convinces Steve he's been accepted to Hogwarts.

I don't know if it will play though. I'm trying, but I'm on a slow connection.

Re: American Dad

Can someone confirm if that streaming episode works or not? I think my HOSTS file might be blocking it but I can't tell even though I disabled the HOSTS file.

If it doesn't work, let me know so I can find Dana another one.

It's not working for me, which sucks, because I have yet to see/watch that particular episode

Either of the two bottom alternative video sources work.

Use the second video on the alternate video sources.

The first one seems to cut off halfway through.

Now, if you'll excuse me. I'm going to watch this one as it is my favorite episode.

My feeling regarding Family Guy was beautifully stated in the relevant South Park episode, and I find American Dad even less funny.

^Watch that episode I linked above. I guarantee you'll love it.

It's got "Death Eaters" and an atheist!

I just watched it again... fucking hilarious!

By the way, the South Park episode you're referring to, while totally true about the way Family Guy makes jokes, also has good things to say about it. Kyle says he likes Family Guy and I think Stan agrees saying it is a good show.
