Tom is putting the duck in the oven now, I was up at 8 and baked the sweet yams already, and the yellow cake with choc frosting last nite before we went to bed. We figure to eat about 3 today. Brianna is with her dad and should be here about 2 and Alex is at friends just a few miles away. So once everyone gets in we can in a civilized manner.... tear into those presents. ;)
Kids are mostly getting clothes, I know...boring but practical. Also, Alex is getting the purple iPod he wanted and Bri the cell phone.... so we do indulge them a bit. On a different note.....I love the snow flakes on the page.

We are having the NW Florida equivalent of a "white Christmas": Low 40's with rain and sleet which will be breaking up by this afternoon, followed by a low temperature in the lower 30's or even upper 20's tonight.

At any rate, whatever the weather you folks are getting, Happy Holidays and may you all have a great Christmas

The rain has stopped, and the sun is beginning to emerge from the clouds. The duck is halfway through its cooking (doing a recipe I found online called "the amazing 5 hour duck"), the stuffing is ready to go in the oven, the brown rice is waiting in the wings as is the squash. Dinner will be on the table about 430 pm.

Santa was good to me this year.

I got a sweet new snowboard with ney beindings and boots, some clothes, an iPod, a capo for my guitar, a music stand, two music books for my guitar, a new watch.. I could go on.
