Sorry to put this on the main page, but it's the only way that it may actually be viewed by some of you. I read one of funksonic7's posts last week and it disturbed me, but I decided not to say anything at that time. After I saw the most recent thread this guy created this morning, I decided I wasn't going to stay quiet anymore. I'm referring to the one where he is asking the girls (who are mostly underage or, at the very least, much younger than he is) if they like watching porno films with their boyfriend. In later posts, he goes on to say that he "enjoys" talking about sex and relationships with others regardless of their age, gender, or race. This guy is 31 years old! In the thread I read last week, he mentions that his mother saw hair in the shower after he had sex there with his girlfriend and "figured things out". Is this guy living with his mother? He's 31! When I was 31, I had been married for several years already, owned my own home, had a kid and another one on the way. I certainly had better things to do with my time than talk to teenagers about sex. The odd part about all of this is that nobody seems to think there is anything wrong with this except, I shudder to say it, POOPY!!! For that, I gave him rep. His was the only voice of reason on that entire thread about watching porno when he mentioned that it was funny this 31 year old guy would want to talk about sex with underage girls. Then he suggested the guy get a hobby - maybe buy some legos. It was classic!!

The thing that is disturbing about this guy is that he may be trying to ingratiate himself with the girls on AS. In one post, he mentions that it's the older guys who really care about girls, not the teenage boys who they really have to be careful of. I'm telling you, watch out for this weirdo! This guy is more dangerous than the weirdo that joined last week and immediately starting contacting people and suggesting that they have sex. That kind of predator is easy to spot because they're so obvious. This guy is much more subtle and that makes him more dangerous. He's trying to get the girls to think he's a nice guy. Look at his posts! Almost everything he writes about has to do with sex! If you don't believe me, check out his posts for yourself:

If he tries to initiate contact with you, either by email, PM, or suggestions that you meet, if you are underage, tell your parents and have them call the police. If he tries to initiate contact with you, and you are over 18 and buying this guy's message, then all I can say is caveat emptor.

Narnar, Mount Zion told me the exact same thing - he has initiated contact with her as well but didn't bring up sex. Don't you see? A predator isn't going to be directly obvious by immediately bringing up sex with you personally. He may try to get your trust and then try to talk you into meeting him. On one hand I think this guy does have some strange opinions. On the other I think that Madre is being a bit paranoid, because I've never read about funk doing something illegal. I hope she doesn't find the drug forum...

With that in mind this thread does have sort of an attackish overtone. I want to hear what funksonic has to say though.

I too find it odd that someone would ask such blatant comments soliciting sexual advice to a community that is made up of a good percentage of adolescence. A few things must be looked at before you can sit down and start calling someone a predator though. Because there is no age restriction on this site, there are going to be topics that apply to some and not others, and this is a consequence of the internet. To censor comments because someone on the site is underage is not fair, they have taken it upon themselves to join a community knowing full well that there are people of many ages out there. Would people feel differently if someone who is 19 had made the comments? Still illegal.... Second, the fact that this gentleman lives with his mother has no relevance other than his social life is no doubt retarded. Living with your mother does not mean you fancy underagers. Third, I remember a post that he asked Katy (sarcastically) what she was doing on the site because she was 13 (correct me if Im wrong). Does it seem strange to alienate your potential victims? My last point is that your age is put down voluntarily, meaning that I could in all reality be 78 or 12, or perhaps not mention at all. Would this still seem as strange if this guy hadn't VOLUNTARILY mentioned that he is 31. Im no predator, but if I were I probably wouldn't just throw that out there. I do believe that you should show great caution with internet relationships, regardless of age. I also applaud all those that show concern for the younger people of this site who might not realize the danger in communicating with someone who inherently has a veil over themselves. I just caution in starting a witch hunt against someone who may very well be completely unaware that some of his comments are inappropriate. Wow, that was long lol, sorry.

haha, and i dont think its very fair to say that not talking about sex through PMs just proves even more that he's a predator. since he's obviously not very concerned about talking about sex in the threads, i dont see why he would be careful when PMing girls to "lure them in".

and i also dont think its fair to make judgements on being a predator, based on whether he lives with his mother or not.

Listen, I've already spoken to several adults about this and all of them felt that there was a need to be concerned. And now I know that he's PMed at least two of you. Adults have been around the block a time or two and that's why they instinctively know when something is wrong. Most of you wouldn't give this guy the time of day if he were in the same room with you because of his age, so don't tell me that I discriminate. Is it only because he wants to talk about sex that you jump to his defense? Why is it that you say I am discriminating against him because he's 31 and wants to talk about sex? Impossible Dreamer and I have been discriminated against plenty of times when we tried to discuss intelligent topics and we were put down because we were old. Whose discriminating who? It seems to me that the reason you want to defend him is because he wants to act just like you and so that's okay. Actually, the truth of the matter is, it's not okay. It's because he's 31 and interested in spending huge amounts of time talking to teenagers about inappropriate subjects that red flags go up all over the place.

Weasel, does funk have to do something illegal for you to see that this is wrong? I know he's PMed Narnar. She's only 17. Who knows? In her state, it may just be possible that it could be illegal for an adult who has brought up inappropriate subjects over the internet to contact a minor.

I was being sarcastic about poopy, obviously. Sometimes he says really off the wall stuff, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that he was the one person on that thread to see that there was something wrong with a 31 year old talking to underage girls about sex.

About your other comment, see this is what I mean. What adult would PM young people individually to discuss their viewpoint about a sexual matter (or any matter)? I don't believe I've ever PMed anyone on this site. You're right, he's creepy!
