"What In The World Are They Spraying?"

I'm not much of a "The Gummint is out to get us all!" guy like our own resident conspiracy sniffer here in AS **ahem coughFunkcough ahem!**

True, I don't trust our (or any) government nor do I believe a fucking word they say to us all, but still, I'm not pointing a finger at the government every time something odd happens somewhere. There have been conspiricists (is that a word?) who claim that AIDS is a laboratory-created plague designed to reduce the global population. Everyone knows about the alleged government cover-up concerning the Roswell incident. Some crackpot in the comment section of one of the recent news stories on the quake/tsunami event in Japan claims that the quake was deliberately triggered by planting a high-yield nuclear warhead on the fault line off Japan's shoreline!

My mom, bless her heart, is one such conspiracy sniffer and she recently brought to my attention something which I'd heard about some time back but didn't much take seriously - even after she mentioned it in a phone conversation we had a few months ago.

Just today, I ran across a documentary which has brought the situation right up front in my mind. You cannot argue with numbers and when soil and atmospheric scientists say that aluminum levels in the AIR WE BREATHE are 1000 times higher than what they were just 10 years ago, I have to wonder Just What The Fuck is going on!

I ask that you watch this film (it runs something over 90 minutes so it is a little of a chore) but it is NOT boring - in fact it is more than a little alarming. Actually, you may have already seen it on one of the cable/satellite science channels. I don't know that for sure because we don't have either program source. I'd really like your thoughts on it.

Re: "What In The World Are They Spraying?"

im gonna watch the vid later but would like everyone to know,
< im a conspiricists.

which means to say, i believe the government and people with power are deliberatly hurting, holding us back, and damaging the world to better fit their agenda and ideas or world order.
My brother is HUGELY into these conspiricies. it started when some ex navy realitives of ours started sharing secret information with the family. Like nucular waste in lakes that at night glow green. Or the secret camps filled with labs for testing done on humans hidden all over the contry. so on and so on. So this claim dosnt suprise me a bit.

to be honest the amount of infomation is begining to make me hope for a VERY early death.

Re: "What In The World Are They Spraying?"

Sometimes I just put possibilities out there to see what people think, so don't assume that they are a conspiracy theory I believe in.
And sometimes conspiracies aren't theories, and truth is stranger than fiction....it depends on the topic at hand.

If people want to live in a bubble, then they can choose to continue to watch Fox news, Msnbc, CNN etc, and just take their word for it.
But they shouldn't wonder why people are connecting more dots than they are or are at least trying to for any other reason, but to know the absolute truth.
I'll try to watch the documentary when I have more time within the next few days.

And yes, there are people who believe HAARP caused the Haiti and now the Japan natural disaster quakes. Do I believe it? Not really.
But at the same time, does it bother me that whenever these conspiracies are mentioned or asked about, the government and the mainstream media publicly either ignores them or vilifies them in some way, rather than addressing their questions and concerns head on? Yes, it does.

We need more undercover investigations, because that's real journalism. But that's a tall order, because I can't even begin to tell you how many death threats Lila Rose and James O'Keefe have received since they been doing their undercover investigations. I've even received a death threat by a homosexual apologist for simply stating that I believe marriage is not a right for anybody, but a privilege. Those are the kind of people who are the real paranoid ones, and who obviously have something to hide.

People deserve answers to their questions, no matter how asinine the questions may be or seem.
The government and the mainstream media should be working for us, remember?

Re: "What In The World Are They Spraying?"

I haven't watched the video yet. I'm sure I will at some point because I always find such things entertaining. But I'm always extra skeptical of Internet videos, especially when they're well-produced. Quick edits and cool music and ominous visuals can often cover up huge leaps in logic.

In the meantime, here is a criticism of the video's claims:

http://contrailscience.com/what-in-t...they-spraying/

Here's just one bit about the documentary's overall claim:
(the original quote on the site has links to back up the statements--not sure if they'll transfer in the quote)

Quote:
The film presents the conferences on geoengineering as if they are somehow secret and clandestine operations that need to be revealed to the public. In reality geoengineering of this type has been discussed for at least sixty years. It’s hardly covered up, as the discussion has been constantly in the news, often front page news, since 2006, and has been making occasional mainstream news stories since the 1980s, with thousands of publicly accessible research papers over the last sixty years. Nobody was doing it sixty years ago, nobody was doing it in 2006, and as far as anyone can tell, nobody is doing it now. Denials are not admissions, and discussing something is not the same as doing it.
EDIT:

I've watched some of it, and the first 15 minutes rely heavily on fast edits and a lot of clips (mainly involving local TV meteorologists) talking about chemicals in the sky or the potential for chemicals in the sky. It's cut so quickly that the viewer has a hard time figuring out who is saying what and how reliable that person is.

For instance, the video...

around 5:50, they introduce John Holdren, a scientific advisor to Obama, and quote him as saying that "geoengineering schemes have been discussed." That's ALL he says. And then a mysterious, unattributed voice comes in to talk about "aluminum in the stratosphere" before cutting to another voice talking about aluminum found in water. It's all very fast--much of the jargon is not explained--and strikes me as dishonest editing to make the viewer feel like something dangerous is going on.

around 8:30, they INTENTIONALLY misrepresent what a geoengineer is saying to make it seem like he doesn't care about the ethical consequences of science tampering with nature. This geoengineer seems to be the "mysterious voice" from the part above. Before the 8:00 mark, the geoengineer is talking about how complicated and risky bioengineering will be. He's actually talking about being careful. Then, they do a quick edit to cut out context and then they repeat and type out on screen when he says:
"And by the way, it's not really a moral hazard. It's more like freeriding on our grandkids."

They intend that to be a "gotcha!" moment, depicting the geoengineer as not caring about "moral hazards" and flippantly admitting that we'll do this at the cost of our grandchildren's welfare. But you can actually find the geoengineer's report online. He is talking about "moral hazards" in a specific way:
Quote:
Originally Said by geoengineer David Keith
This is referred to as the ‘moral hazard’ argument, a term derived from insurance, and arises where a newly-insured party
is more inclined to undertake risky behaviour than previously because compensation is available. In the
context of geoengineering, the risk is that major efforts in geoengineering may lead to a reduction of effort in
mitigation and/or adaptation because of a premature conviction that geoengineering has provided ‘insurance’ against climate change.
So, when he makes that clarification that "it's more like freeriding on our grandkids," he is continuing to talk about the ethical risks and that this goes beyond the "moral hazard" argument to a real potential cost for our grandchildren.

Around 10:05, scraps of quotes from an Air Force study on aluminum effects on rats appear on screen as the geoengineer admits --openly-- that they have not yet studied the effects of aluminum in large amounts (like, megatons). The scraps of quotes reveal nothing, but imply something bad.

And then at 10:46, one of the journalists behind the video describes the geoengineer as being "confronted" with a question about the side effects of aluminum and makes his response seem much more ominous than deserved. The geoengineer, talking about hypothetical geoengineering and the ethical risks, responds to the question openly and honestly, saying "Let me be careful here...we haven't studied the effects of aluminum." In response, a journalist says, "They look like they just let the cat out of the bag" and ties the geoengineer to some larger collection of "THEY." The journalists take his answer as some sort of evidence of admitting to an act of evil.

And then around 11:00, the journalists behind the video bring --out of nowhere-- theories about "OTHER AGENDAS" that include depopulation, weapon control....

In typical conspiracy thinking, the journalist says, "There could be other agendas here, whether it's depopulation, weapons, communications, I don't know. I'm not going to speculate, but it's clear that they're not doing this for the benefit of mankind." With no evidence for any of that, the journalist asserts a conspiracy.

And that's when I really start to take this video even less seriously.

I haven't watched the rest yet. But the first 15 minutes seem really dishonest.
