I would have to go for Nickelback as my all-around favorite band (with the Fray being a close second). It's really hard to choose just one favorite though, since it's all mood-dependent.

And I agree with Foxy that the London Symphony Orchestra (they often do scores for movies, right? Like James Horner's and John Williams' stuff? They must do Classical stuff, too, being in London and thus inherently quality-things-presenting...

It tends to shuffle 'round, but when asked this question for the past few years, it's always been The Mars Volta/Omar Rodriguez-Lopez for me. They do such amazing stuff with music that I've never heard before. I've never heard anything like them, nor do I feel like I ever will again.

If your definition of favorite band is what you've been listening to more than any other, then recently, it's The Beatles. Before that, it was Michael Jackson, and before that, it was The Postal Service.

...I need to start another obsessive phase with a different band.
