Just about anything from Panic!

But a lot of times you might not be able to tell the correlation between the lyrics and the title because they are meant metaphorically. Like Boiled Frogs by Alexisonfire. The song is about a man working his life away. That doesn't seem like it has anything to do with frogs, but i went to a song meanings site, and someone said that if you throw a frog into a pot of boiling water it will jump out, but if you put the frog in a pot of cold water, and turn up the heat, it won't jump out. I forget how he related that to the man in the song, but you get the idea.

Various references to autumn and a "hallowed" night that occurs in what season?

The songs all about darkness. What's Porphyria Cutanea Tarda? It's a disorder in which one's skin is overly sensitive to sunlight... and it's commonly associated with vampires and werewolves.

Weren't we just atlking about how fake some people's smiles are?

Third Season?
Another song about fall... and the seasons are in order: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter.

I don't know most of the other songs/artists you listed or the song title doesn't have a meaning that I am aware of.

I just went through Windows Media Player and looked at the songs and thought for a second about it. I didn't really go through all the lyrics. I'm sure there are more. But i was in a hurry cuz i had to be at work in a little bit. But like Porpyria, i didn't think about that. I looked the title up a while ago, so i knew what it meant. I just didn't get it. And smile, i didn't catch that either. I thought since they were like angry/evil lyrics that they used smile to be ironic.
In fall children i didn't take Fall to mean the season. Yeah, but i have been really tired and have had a horrible pulsating headache all day, so focusing on just about anything has been absolute torture.

It's a simple but fairly powerful love song done in 3/4 waltz time signature. "Iris" in this song can be perceived as a flower or a part of rainbow, but are really metaphors for a certain woman named Iris. It explains how you can feel about someone (in this case, Iris), without her (or anyone) knowing. He desperately wants to tell her (Iris) how he feels, but doesn't know how she (again, Iris) will react.

Side note: It's a good song by the way, but a far stretch from how crazy punk metal these guys used to be before they made it big.
They're from my hometown and when they would play out, people used to actually start mosh-pits to the Goo Goo Dolls music.
Johnny Resnick used to also make his money by running a portable hot dog stand on the corners of streets where all the bars and nightclubs are located. These guys literally started from having almost nothing.

No. He's done interviews in which he says that he picked the name of the song after he wrote it. He was flipping through a magazine and found a picture of a model, Iris DeMent and liked the name, so he named his song Iris.

Yes, it does. He has said that the name of the song is in no way connected to when he wrote the lyrics, and that if people WANT to glean meaning, that's their prerogative. If the person who wrote it says that the title has nothign to do with the meaning, I tend to believe them.
