dont worry about it, i had my first serious gf when i was 17. one of my mates had his first kiss at the weekend, and hes 22. admitidly the girl he kissed was my gf, but at least ive got an excuse to dump her!

Don't worry about it High School relationships are pretty pointless, they kind of for getting ready for the real ones after you get out of school so you still have plenty of time to hook up with someone.

I'm 17 as well, I've only had 2 girlfriends and neither one for more than 6 months but now it sounds like I'm just bragging so I'll shut up before I end up getting off-topic.

Well hey, I'm 17 and I've never had a girlfriend either. (I'll forget to mention the act that I'm a girl, and that I wouldn't want a girlfriend, but the point still stands that I've never had one.) Don't worry about it, like everyone has been saying, high school relationships are pretty pointless and not worth the time.

What is even more scary is one of my mates from highschool, who was born the day before me, is about to be a daddy. Hes planning on marrying the mother in a couple of years time, says i can be a bridesmaid

high school relationships aren't worthless! you're learning how to string girls along or gaining skills for when you actually meet a worthwhile lady.. i had a lot g/f's in high school, but at the same time i knew that none of the relationships actually meant anything. but i did learn how to treat a girl and how i wanted to be treated, which mattered when i met my fiance.

i've generally found that when people get into college they get a rude awakening after a bit and most of the things that mattered in high school relationships.. such as popularity.. gets replaced by conversational skills and intelligence. some of my boys still haven't figured it out.. which might explain why they're broke, not in school, and lonely =).

anyway, you've got lots of time. i didn't have my first g/f til i was 15.. and trust me, you can fit a lot of girls into a short period of time =).

Well, I've dated lots of guys...and I'm 17.

I must admit the first few were fairly pointless. And only two were actually serious. But, it was still fun...and a great way to make some new friends afterwards. I wouldn't call it pointless...

Basically it just helps to date lots of different people so you can find out what type of person you are looking for.

But hey. There is nothing wrong with not dating anyone...it'll probably save you heartache and drama in the long run!

No, and so what? It doesn't mean anything. Don't worry about the fact that everyone else has someone. Just focus on getting your life together first. Then when that's settled go out looking for someone, but don't settle for the first person that comes your way. don;t place too much importance on high school relationships. most are pointless, or the parties involved are too immature to actually give it any meaning. just play it cool and things will work out in the end.
