Any bands where the people actually sing and NOT scream? I mean like Mudvayne, Union Underground, DOPE, and other bands like them.

Hey Joey, Thanks. Lately it seems like everyone finds something wrong with my posts. I feel like I've been yelled at in one of them for asking an inoccent question.

Thank you so much for the information about Evanescense. I'll check it out!

the rock music is in different areas: galm (poison, twisted sister, motley crue), metal (pantera, slayer), grunge (alice in chains, soundgarden, nirvana), nu-metal (p.o.d., deftones trustcompany)

There are just too many ways to classify the rock music. I know that in a guitar magazine, Mudvayne classified their music as being "Math Metal." I found that interesting. I do like them more than Slipknot but mainly because Chad (lead singer of Mudvayne) does more singing in their songs than Correy (lead singer of Slipknot) does in their music.

Yeah I know some of that was metal. That is alot of what I like. Also you could listen to some local bands. Local bands are usually great and play really hardcore music. At least they do here in Grand Rapids.
