That MTV ICON thing is going to be soooo sweet. The Aerosmith one was great too, although Papa Roach had no business covering Aerosmith.

And on a related note, Metallica is going to sound better now than with Jason. That's a direct quote from the band. Read about it on MTV.com.

Well they don't have to say that, but if they come out and say "This is better than we've sounded for years" then I believe them. Of course, they did just stop drinking...

Just got done watching MTV Icon, and it was awesome. the performances were great. i was kinda dissapointed with Aaron Lewis though. i don't know what it was, but it was just kinda blah to me..... other than that it was great.

That show could've went without snoop too. You think MTV could've gave them more than just an hour and a half.

The show kicked ass though. Korn rocked the joint with one.

you need at least 4 full 24 hour days to go a REAL Metallica Icon. Thats how long it would take to sum up their career.

how quick can you fix your dinner?.. ... seriously though, i mean snoop was on for only a short time before leaving.........anyway i think that icon was more of a dissapoitment than i thought it was going to be, all the bands doing covers seemed to miss out all the good bits of the songs:

korn - one (solo towards the end was missed out completly)

aaron lewis and other guy( cant remeber name) - nothing else matters (shortened version with no solos)

and these are just to name a few, i know that bands doing covers do so in their own way but to miss out important parts such as the solos is not right..............anyway, enough of my ramblings.....................
