Re: What is the last movie you saw?

It wasn't half bad. I was pretty pleased with it, actually.

It was shot in digital, which was weird and distracting -

Re: What is the last movie you saw?

This tropical remnant which was Claudette began to blast our area with a rather spectacular lightning show so I shut down my comp and pulled all the plugs (phone, too!). This left me with very little to do so I roamed back to our TV room and randomly grabbed a DVD off the shelf. Turned out I grabbed Good Morning, Vietnam. I love that film. Having worked in radio for a number of years (albiet non military radio), I could identify with Robin's character.

Re: What is the last movie you saw?

Julie and Julia. I thought it was great. Very entertaining; Meryl Streep was, once again, magical. And Amy Adams was fantastic as well. Grand, overall.

(No doubt the movie will garner some form of criticism; I really don't care, to be frank!)

Also, now watching Doubt again. Very re-view-able.

Re: What is the last movie you saw?

i watched the last house on the left...the one that comes out on video tomorrow. every red-blooded american needs to see this movie. it was so graphic and real but not disguisting. it just pissed me off until the movie made me happy again especially with the microwave.

if you think someone is breaking into your house and you reach for your gun because you want to shoot that person or you think a person who committs rape deserves a severe ass-stomping, this is your movie!

Re: What is the last movie you saw?

Princess Mononoke.. incredible. Much better than Spirited Away, imo, even though the animation in latter was more mature. The story was definitely more mature and intricate than the more childish Spirited Away. Good stuff.

Next up tonight, Ponyo on the Cliff and The Orphanage.

Ponyo is an adaptation of the Little Mermaid (Hans Christian Anderson). Also, Spirited Away is a kid's movie. That's why it's childish.

The last movie I saw was The Hangover.

Ponyo is too weird for me. Plus boring.

The only anime I'll watch is Akira.

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story

My favorite bits were the drug parts:

[after Dewey accidentally barges in a room filled with smoke and groupies]
Sam: [coughs] Get outta here, Dewey!
Dewey Cox: What are y'all doin' in here?
Sam: We're smoking reefer and you don't want no part of this shit.
Dewey Cox: You're smoking *reefers*?
Sam: Yeah, 'course we are; can't you smell it?
Dewey Cox: No, Sam. I can't.
Reefer Girl: Come on, Dewey! Join the party!
[takes a hit off a joint]
Sam: No, Dewey, you don't want this. Get outta here!
Dewey Cox: You know what, I don't want no hangover. I can't get no hangover.
Sam: It doesn't give you a hangover!
Dewey Cox: Wha-I get addicted to it or something?
Sam: It's not habit-forming!
Dewey Cox: Oh, okay... well, I don't know... I don't want to overdose on it.
Sam: You can't OD on it!
Dewey Cox: It's not gonna make me wanna have sex, is it?
Sam: It makes sex even better!
Dewey Cox: Sounds kind of expensive.
Sam: It's the cheapest drug there is.
Dewey Cox: [at a loss and out of excuses] Hmm.
Sam: You don't want it!
Dewey Cox: I think I kinda want it.
Sam: Okay, but just this once. Come on in.

[Dewey walks into a bathroom with where Sam is filled with groupies]
Sam: Get out of here Dewey!
Dewey Cox: What are y'all doing in here?
Sam: It's called cocaine. And you don't want no part of this shit!
Dewey Cox: Cucaine?
[Sam nods and smiles]
Dewey Cox: What's it do?
Sam: It turns all your bad feelings into good feelings. It's a nightmare!
Dewey Cox: I'm thinking maybe I'd like to try me some of that cucaine.

[Dewey walks in on Sam and groupies]
Sam: Get out of here, Dewey. You don't want no part of this shit.
Dewey Cox: Whatch y'all doin' in here?
Sam: We doin' pills. Uppers and downers. It's the logical next step for you.
Dewey Cox: I want some of that shit!

A Time to Kill.
Which raises the question, would you?

Regarding my immediate family - Brianna, Alex, Tom, my mom or brother Michael, YES I would.

No for others ~ I could see my dad or brother John starting a fight and ending up dead because of it, their own damn fault.
