A Short But Meaningful Relationship.
I was looking at people poetry on the web, and i found this one, And i personally really liked it. I think it has like a meaning and somewhat of a truth to it. And it gives pretty great details.I think its cute. I wanted to share it with you guys. Its by Genevieve M., Roslindale, MA.
Having a beautiful brown-eyed boy Tell you he loves you In Spanish In the back seat of a gray car With a red interior And his uncle driving And your best friend, his cousin Grooving to the new U2 tape Oblivious in the front seat. Hurry, faster, time is rapidly shortening Use it wisely, fool Four days, and Puerto Rico Place of interminably waving waters Snowless - screaming with sunlight Steals him back. But for now It must wait. We slide through the soundless midnight streets Dotted with colored stars of Christmas lights Wrapped in the protective shell of Bono's voice Life is unusually kind today.

Part of what makes this poem so great is the writer brings the reader to the moment with the visual of the car and who is in it. Mentioning U2 playing brings another dimension to the poem, the dimension of sound. Anyone familiar with U2 will automatically start hearing a U2 song, perhaps not even realizing it.
