I grit my teeth till I grind them to dust.
WHO AM I?
I look at my past and see my soul turn to rust.
I AM NOTHING AT ALL.

I open my eyes and look at the blackness of my soul.
WHAT HAVE I BECOME?
I trip up, I've fallen, I am lost down this hole.
I FEEL NOTHING.

My bleeding heart, makes the ground slippery in its wake.
I FALL BACKWARDS THROUGH THE DARK.
I loose my footing in this place, I quiver, I convulse, I quake.
I SLIDE DEEPER INTO HELL.

I need your tender caress, I need your loving embrace.
I FORGET WHO I AM.
I yearn for the feeling of your fingertips upon my face.
I FEEL APATHY CONSUME ME.

I have lost connection with me, I don't know who I am.
I AM OVERRUN WITH DARKNESS.
I fear that nothing in my life has gone according to plan.
I EAT MY OWN HEART.

I wonder how I can care now, I am lost, I don't know me.
I CONSUME MY VERY SOUL.
I know now there is no where else to flee.
THERE IS NOTHING LEFT OF ME.

I feel this black-hole slowly consume all that is good.
RUN AWAY NOW, IF YOU CAN.
I think you should run, head for the hills, I would if I could.
ITS ALL OVER NOW.

The phoenix has risen from the smoke and cinders, I am left in the dust.
I KNOW WHAT I MUST DO.
A new me emerges from the ash, I know who I can be, and I must.
