Bah, I know the situation... You probably come off as harsher because the forums are a place where you can voice your opinions completely without the consequences that normally come with doing such things in real life.

Anyone who knew me outside of the forums would not recognise me in any way at all by my posts, because frankly, I'm an asshole on here because I don't care what anyone thinks of me.

Your friend probably does see you as overly harsh, because you probably are, compared to how you'd normally act.

I hate saying this but...you know how girls are. My girlfriend yells at me for being rude to my parents.
