First thing first, there is a difference between black people and niggers, the meaning has changed over time. I mean how are people even really offended by it anymore? I got called a lazy nigger at work because I didn't want to sweep the line. Its just a general insult that derived from a racial slur, like calling someone a jew. Isn't getting into a big huff and puff over someone saying nigger just because your black empowering the racial background instead of making a modern day term of endearment. (btw I have yet to meet a black person who would get pissed about the word nigger, nigga and other variations). Further more fucking white people get more pissed about it than anyone else. What the hell people, maybe its because white people do act like a bunch of niggers now more so than black people. Thoughts?

I like the word because it packs an offensive punch that other profanities just can't bring to the table anymore. It's egalitarian, too. Calling a white boy dressed up like a thug a nigger will probably get you stabbed, while calling a white racist a nigger will probably also get you stabbed.

That word isn't dead and gone and is still used frequently all over the place. Not just in the South and not just by white people but also other races in reference to blacks.
If you really have never met anyone who's had a problem with it, I'm surprised.

I hate that word. Yes it's uses have evolved somewhat, but all insults that use the term still refer back to the racist origins of the term. Its disgustingly derogatory towards any person it is used in reference to, as well as the people it was originally coined to describe.

I can't imagine to say nigger to anyone, unless meant in a fun-meant way. I'd rather say blacks to black people; not sure if that is offending in any way, thougt.

yea was done by MTV producer....it was a depiction of how the japanese see american's an most notably blacks in general...like I said...pretty poor.
