ending friendships

how do you feel when you know that a friendship is ending? you see that you get more and more far away from each other and you don´t have the feeling that you want to do anything against this. everything is changing and you don´t have anymore many things incommon. it is not like you fight about things... there is just not anything to say anymore.
well i think this is a kind of sad feeling...
how do you feel/ think about it?

I know what you mean. I've had friendships end that way and it's always sad.

However, I've also ended friendships by saying 'don't ever talk to me again.'

Ending a friendship in both ways is pretty sad, but I must say in the past when I've had friendships end by telling the person to kiss off I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

ending friendship is a sad and painful thing sometimes but you can think of it as a divorce but without the violence

i have had that feeling... it really sucks. I have tryed to hold on to is for so long but then i just gave up

tonight one of my freinds called me. its been a while since we had talked and i was excited.he did not have much to say i guess cause we did not talk long. We use to be so close and he would tell me everything. But i dont know he just stoped talking to me and i guess he did not care about my emails cause he never did respond to them. i really do miss him and i miss the way he made me laugh.

if a friend and i have moved apart, then it tends to be because both of us have found something better.

in which case, you learn to wish each other well, appreciate what once was, and get on with what has taken its place.

I agree with Kali, but it is a painful process... though it may sometimes be one sided 'betterness'... I used to lose a huge amount of my friends when I was 14...

Sometimes they grow distant gradually, but sometimes they split because of a series of fights... but remember... all splits in friendship happen for the best, and there is something you can learn from it.

im in a situation like that right now. i was friends with this girl all through highschool and now we go to different schools and i feel like we dont have anythign in common anymore. she told me i changed, and i seriously sat down and cried bc this is one of my best friends.
