Specters: True or False?

How many of these are real specter realities?

How many ghouls can you spot?

Let's start with this one:

But here's the whole museum gallery of them:

Re: Specters: True or False?

I actually like photos of "possible ghosts" but..

..the very most you see if you follow the link are light refraction on the lens or just plain dirt spots/rain drops on the camera objective. A few others 'ghosts' are condensed breath/other smoke as well as blurred photos with a long exposure time.

I pretty much like the fire one ^_^
(And the ones of the Ghost Lady)

So, yes, yes? You like specters, you like?

Oh, ghouls can be funny. Who doesn't like spectating a good specter show now and again? ;D

Yes, like this one:

Would have been an awesome photograph, had not a ghost SCREWED THE WHOLE THING UP. :)

I know. As if their "spirit reality" isn't enough, they have to go barging their way into ours. Filthy spooks! *Shakes intolerant fist* ;)

Nahhhh...everyone likes specters. Except when they start knocking over your stuff. That's not constructive.

I have a friend that claims to have witnessed a chair move an entire foot across a room. After that, he started attending paranormal research groups. Now, he plays tabletop roleplaying games, masterminding ghost stories.

Moral of the story; bolt your furniture to the floor like Charlotte Perkins Gilman did in "The Yellow Wallpaper".

ok..now I dont wanna offend true believers here...but half the pics on that site are pure shite fakes...

the blackpool waxwork one and the floating head are perfect examples...they say the floating head one is of the photographers dead husband? its a tv screen..so thats a dead give away..

the section with the fakes and explained ghosts....they never looked ghostlike in the first place they looked like how they were explained...shit shots..

I mean the one with the reflection off a stop sign in the distance? I saw that straight away an would never have suspected anything untoward...I've taken hundreds of shit photos over the years...I know what to look for

saying that though...even though the ghostly figures caused by long exposure times an people just popping in an out of frame...they are pretty good shots anyway...from an art point of view not ghosty like...makes me wanna do some pics like that

EDIT: The brown palace hotel one actually looks like a flat scuff mark on the lens...I wear glasses an so have scuffed and scratched so many pairs over the countless years...and it looks exactly the same...as the scratch on my glasses is so close to my eyes, my eyes cant fully focus on them but focus fine on everything else, and I believe it MIGHT be the same for that photo...hence why everything else is perfect...but like I said it MIGHT be...its just one possible explanation.

^ I'm pretty sure all of this thread is tongue-in-cheek, don't think anyone that's posted actually believes in them.

I used to love reading books about "true" ghost stories when I was a kid. Made for wonderful bedtime reading. And many of the pictures on the 'ghost photographs' page were included with the books I read. Ahhh, memories...

Good advice, good advice! I know all the furn' in my house moves at least once per second, causing parts of the walls to collapse. It's a little uncomofortable, part of the reason specters intrigued me thus.

"Untoward"? My heart...I think it just stopped with pure, afternoon delight. *Is faint with happiness*

Dear boy. Do not doubt what you do not see! Do not doubt re-al-i-ty.

Oh man. I am so hyper right now. Someone needs to take this laptop away from me--but they're too distracted playing their LotR game. Haha.

I do see what you're saying, however, my main man. Yes, some of those pictures are just complete and utter GARBAGE. Really, they are. They're just really stupid, bad photos. If those are ghosts, then I, too, have actually *made* ghosts before, and that's just goofy.

Anyway. Yes. Some of those are--on the other side of the bear--just good photographs, like the one of the stairs "me" posted earlier.

(I am not high right now--just mildly sleep-deprived, tired, caffeine-/sugar-charged, capricious, and "procrastinatin'" from doing anything constructive or thoughtiful.)

Yes, madam.

And yes, ghosts are quite memory-inducing, even fictional ones (the real ones, they create scarring memories, like...yesterday afternoon, I was walking to the supermarkey, and a corporeal phantom came crashing into my side, and almost knockEd me in front of a moving vehicle. Actually, it did. And I died and became a ghost myself. I am a ghost right now.)

Re: Specters: True or False?

I submit this picture as "proof", if you would.

See him? This is an unaltered picture taken at a conservatory near my home. Ringo, you should recognize some of the plant matter there. Anyway, I wonder if you might have caught this Spook in your photo-graphing as well!

It took me a few days of having this picture up as my background before I even noticed "him". Spooky.

That is spooky! It seems we were actually in a specterarium. Specterary. Specteruary.

A specter place.

<:(

That is a bit creepy, though. I'm not sure if I "captured" him, as well; haven't uploaded my photos yet. Keep it up, though! Someone's gotta find 'em out--find 'em out real' good!
