Wormtongue, you ARE an imaginary person. (Ha! See? It pays to wait--several months--with comebacks. )

Just some recent-ish, digital drawrings:

Ballet dancers

Dear senorita Zanahoria Picante,

I believe that long ago we established you were no longer allowed to amaze me and incite a 'lowering of my jaw' upon viewing the works you have so created. Upon viewing these pieces of artwork - especially considering the medium of expression utilized was that of a facebook program, which one might generally associate with sub-par scribbles made upon a friend's wall in the hopes of producing laughter and/or a smile, NOT masterpieces of amazingness - I have determined you have breached this long-established contract. You are far too talented and it is an incredible delight to witness.

Sincerely,

Too-distracted-by-pretty-pictures-to-come-up-with-a-clever-name

(No ill-feelings for the breach of contract. I forgive you because there is nothing I enjoy more than being distracted by things worth being distracted by! )

Dear madam oceandream(130),

Allow me to extend my deepest apologies for the apparent consternation these "assorted digital doodlings" have stirred within you! 'Twas certainly not my intention to disrupt your "goings on" thusLY, but I fear they have, so--apologies!

As a token of my sincere contrition and desire to "make amends," please accept this digital cookie (that you shall soon receive); it is the least I can do for your very kind and mellifluous words!

Culinary Arts are cool in that way: Pretty much, all the senses are involved in creating/judging food; touch, taste/smell, sight, and hearing, even. A respectable, difficult-to-do-well art form, that is.

Now, onto more assorted doodlings from Facebook.

Random sketch of my purse:

"Jin and Sun" (from LOST, obviously):

"Charlotte" (also from LOST...obviously):

Are you using a tablet to do those from scratch? Or are they filtered images in photoshop?

Either way, they look really cool

You have Facebook, don't you? It's the "Graffiti" program they have there. And I just used the mouse on my laptop, then made the finished images slightly smaller with Microsoft Picture Manager (don't know if that filters images or not; I don't know what filtering is ) before posting them here.

And thank you.

Yeah, I have a facebook, but I feel like the applications feature is the anti-christ, so I had no idea about the graffiti application... but those're damn cool, and might marginally curb my hatred

Hey! Just some more random, digital drawRings from Facebook Graffiti.

(First picture in each pair is just as it appears in the program; the second, the thumbnail, is in high resolution.)

psychoDiablo, just chillin':

Mr. Darcy in the "rain scene" (my favorite from the film):

Ms. Elizabeth, "rain scene":

(The last two aren't the best, I know; but they represent me doing something vaguely productive as far as art goes--be it in a slight' tawdry medium--but there they are. )

You never cease to amaze me.

I had a dream that I was drawing myself. My drawing turned out well but it was only a dream.

Thank you. :)

Were you drawing yourself into existence in the dream? 'Cause that'd be kind of awesome. *Winks*

I had a dream the other night that I was riding (FOR TRANSPORTATION) on a giant Corgi that I stole from these rich, insane kidnappers from whom I was trying to escape. Then, I jumped off it and went to hide in this "cliff cave," which proceeded to "melt" around me into mud, sealing me in. I then dug myself out and rode gentle upon my giant Corgi steed to a small town that looked like somewhere in Poland. Just as the "bad guys" were catching up to me again and I was becoming terrified, my dad woke me up and told me I was in trouble (a little) at work.

So yeah, your dream is far...more natural. I'm sure you could draw quite smashingly in real life if you put your mind to it, though, the Great. :)

Rachael, what did you do to get in trouble at work?

And while we're off-topic and on the subject of dreams, I had a dream about you sometime last week. I don't recall any of the details nor am I even certain "the you" looked like you.

You're typically one of the last people I speak to before going to bed so that explains it. I wish I could remember the details. I think it involved us going somewhere with some of your friends (whom I don't even know)... typical Rachael stuff, I think.

Hehe, I dreamed that I've kidnapped a girl to my Corgi-Farm, but she escaped before I could let her work in my candy-mine.

Fantastic drawings :D

Well, I didn't actually get in trouble, sadly. A co-worker told my mom that my lateness (every single day, 5-10 minutes...) was interfering with her getting to breaks on time, my mom called my dad, and my dad woke me up and told me (wrenching me off my Corgi steed). My co-worker was right, of course. But hey, I have only had like 1 absence in my whole, miserable time working there--and I have willingly tolerated all the horrors that Purgatory has to offer--I just have issues with time management; always have. I march to the beat of a different drum, to my bosses' and teachers' and friends' chagrin (on occasion).

And...I'm so sorry. I cannot apologize enough for having entered your subconscious mind. But it does make sense, yes--in an uncanny sort of way.

Oh dear. You're like a cruel, dream overlord! Little did I know that zombies had a tendency towards owning Corgi-Farms and Candy-Mines. But I should've suspected. >_>

I see. I was frequently late to work at several jobs and that is why I have resigned from many jobs and have been fired from one.

I used to wake up an hour before having to be anywhere. Then that became an hour and a half. Now I have to wake up two hours before being anywhere. I am the slowest person ever when I first wake up. Seriously, snails are faster.

On the opposite end, I have trouble going to sleep taking anywhere from 30 minutes to three hours to fall asleep. On average I take about an hour to get to sleep. A few times I stayed awake all night not sleeping. I may have had a microsleep in there once or twice but I am often awoken by exploding head syndrome.

That's actually one thing that kept me awake recently... thinking about what I would say if I made a thread about exploding head syndrome.

And...I'm so sorry. I cannot apologize enough for having entered your subconscious mind. But it does make sense, yes--in an uncanny sort of way.
It's okay. As I said, you are often one of the last people I speak to before going to sleep. I typically dream about (or remember the dreams of) the last thing I was doing before falling asleep. Even though our conversation is only through text on a screen, that still translates into the two of us riding giraffes into the sunset.*

* I really have no idea what the dream was about other than you being you. Hell, for all I remember, you could have been a stick figure my subconscious labeled a Rachael.

Well, I sadly have resigned completely from my capricious, coming-to-work-late ways. I have not been one minute late since that day and intend to keep it that way, no matter how much I despise the work and the occasional mistreatment; I do it for the sake of my friends there, the integrity (and standard) of working hard regardless of circumstances, and money (not necessarily in that order ).

But anyway, sleep (and hopefully waking up!) is a factor in getting to work, yes. Maybe you should start that thread, because I don't know anything about that, Exploding Head Syndrome (or forgot completely, if you detailed it for me before).

Oh, good. I'm glad only a stick figure caricature version of me plagues your subconscious?

That's usually how it works, too, yeah. I'm not sure which would be worse, though; sleep-deprivation-induced peripheral cats or stick figure me.
