first off, yes they should be able to have personal unions that have the same rights and benifits as marrige. However it should not be called a "marrige", a marrige is a relationship between a male and female. i'm not saying having homosexuals call what they have a marrige cheapens it.....its just dosent fit with the whole 10,000+ year trend that dose dictate what a marrige is nommatter what anybody says.

I think it should be legilized. I see no wrong in loving a person. No offense to anyone who's a christain, but that particular religion had spread so rapidly and ofcourse they preach against gays period but because most marriges take place in "churches" it causes a problem but I think thats stupid to angery with it because you dont HAVE to get married in a church! I mean if you love the person enough that you want to spend the rest of you life with them it should be ok. Take my quote for exsample "Love is Love". You cannot change the way a person thinks, AT ALL!

What about children? The next step will be legalize adoption for gay marriages. Imagine children with two mothers, or two fathers! What about the impact in the lives of children without a father figure, or an appropiate mother figure. I'm not saying that heterosexuals are perfect, but we don't have the right to screw up those children's conception of family.

first off i would like to say i wesn't to happy to leave my stronghold of massachusetts for the gay capitol of the world but i am glad i left.
i would like to pose a question:
what is marriage for?
if people can live together and sleep together and have kids without marriage, then what's it for? i mean it has to mean something other than the dollar amount spent on it, right? i personally believe in waiting for marriage and having sex solely to procreate. if you do all of that outside of marriage you basically de-mean marriage (as i defined it). and therefore i rephrase: what is marriage for, in that situation? or in a situation between 2 of the same sex?
is it for equality? it can't be because as it is, a gay unmarried couple has more rights than a couple in a heterosexual marriage.

gays should have the right to marriage. in some parts of the country gay adoption is legal. so why not marriage?

mostly i see rationalizations here. if i remember correctly i remember hearing about people rationalizing slavery.
just because some one is a chronic drunk, child molesting, ass cowboy who is searching for independance through "experimentation" doesn't mean we should have to placate to them. and why we are is a mistery to me! you people who are so "sensitive" top others needs are going to find out the hard way. and it won't be from those opposing homosexuals, it will be the whole philosophy and way of life that will collapse on itself and you know what?

People are being so dumb! Do you get it? It all apart of a normal life cycal of any speices. Truthfully if everyone on this planet where to be strait it would over populate and people would be eating each other alive, and the same problem occures with if everyone liked the same sex the population would most likely go under. But thats not true currently and it's obviouse. So why don't people just except those who are homosexual? They are no differnt they are humans too ya know.

im with poopy, the world itself will colapse if people are being homosexual and not reproducing, how will life recover? the answer? IT WONT. if homosexuality keeps becoming more popular and "ok" like now, everybody will be gay. then we all die. thats not cool

Ok, well that borders on the assumption that gays recruit. Umm, if thats true then where did the first gay person come from.

The other side of the coin....if that works then why dont we all just say its cool to be straight and then everyone can be straight and we will still eventually die..
