I miss home made beer but don't drink anything alcoholic often enough to warrant making it myself. In Virginia, 2nd ex's younger brother and a friend let me be a taste tester now and then. I like dark beer though while they were more into ambers :.)

I also like fruity beers like cherry lambic.

I miss homemade Screech. Here on the mainland you can only buy it at 40% alcohol. Anything more is illegal to sell.
Back home on the island, however, if you know a cool guy you can get it at 80, sometimes 90% alcohol. Now that makes a person screech.

Where I'm from, you have to say the phrase in Newfaneese and if you get it wrong you take a shot of screech. (Which does not help ;))
