what's your religion?

i just wanted to know what religion everyone had. i think that it might show eerie similarities to how we side ourselves in other threads.

I believe in God.

Though my faith is within myself.

I have no religion. I think for myself.

I thought Buddhism didn't embrace a God (in the typical sense of the word)?

Although most of what I know about the religion comes from a history course, so maybe it's different now than it was back then.

Re: what's your religion?

well i guess you could say i believe in two gods.

god, being everything and anything around us. Nature. Desks. how did all that shit get there? We don't know. It just is. That's god to me. anything unexplainable, is a reference to god...just cuz i think, we just don't know.

God, on the other hand, my higherpower. Something had to create all that shit we have...right? That makes God.

Faith, not in God, but (as i am learning more everyday about my own self) i have in god. All that around me. I'm learning though, that it isn't all that around me, that makes me, me. It is I, who makes me, me. Y'all are just there to see me.

I dont put my faith in God, only because I think it is more important to just have faith, rather than having faith IN something. ya know? like forced...
Plus God has done all he can. What more do you want? What more can you ask for?
If anything is getting done, it's because of You. So for the better, i put my faith in myself, just so i know that i'm getting thru it, all the way to the end. I can't lose.

what i was referring to was his sense of spiritualism and such being within himself; buddhism focuses very much on inner balance and other areas that involve one being content with oneself and the world around them.

Re: what's your religion?

I don't really know anything about religious groups. I just believe in living life. I don't believe that there is a higher power.

I do think that faith is a good thing for people that do believe though. It can get them through a lot. But also i think it's kinda shitty how some religions try and rule people's lives.
