Looking to Upgrade

Alright computer geniuses of Almost Smart, I'm looking for parts to upgrade my laptop, it's a 3 year old Toshiba Satellite L15-S104 and I'm looking to upgrade my Video/Graphics Card and my Processor.

My current specs are:

Processor: Intel Celeron M 1.30GHz
Video: Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller
RAM: 1007MB

I don't know much else, but if you guys can help me find parts that are better and compatible that would be helpful.

and MAYBE a video card but I doubt it...

that's the biggest downside to a laptop... not much you can upgrade.

(I think its funny.. my 8" laptop has better specs. not meaning to bash, just find it humorous)

MY desktop is a nearly 5yo custom-built job. Unfortunately there isn't much I can do in the way of upgrades because the MOBO is a damn socket A type. I've doubled the RAM to 2 gig and so far as I can tell, that's all I can do with it. I don't dare go into BIOS and change to the HIGH PERFORMANCE setting because there aren't any CPU coolers available anymore which work with socket A boards! I actually briefly considered buying a small chest freezer to put the whole damn tower in but that would be kinda goofy and make accessing the CDROM and USB ports rather problematic.

just buy a new laptop

Sell the laptop, buy a cheap-o one to do some basic work on the go, and build yourself a tower. Much better option, I think.

Check out newegg.com though. They've always been my go-to place for parts.

In college, no money, already put $700 into it. Refuse to buy a new laptop. Plus I have no room in my dorm for a laptop. I am also no where technologically inclined to build a tower myself.

Not a problem, I got it for free, but I've repaired it twice (new screen and new motherboard). I'm just trying it to run games a little bit smother.
