Some were done with a mouse (a mouse-mouse), some with a pen tablet, and some with the mousepad (?) on my laptop, yes.

The only two here done with the pen tablet (if I recall): the one of Mr. Darcy and the one of Elizabeth. psychoDiablo was done with this laptop pad-thing. Most all of the ones before were done with a mouse-mouse. So yes. :)

Do you approach a drawing differently if you are going to create it with the mouse pad? It just seems like the control you get from the pad would be much worse than with a mouse or tablet.

Oddly enough, I actually find using a touchpad (apparently that's the term I was looking for before) easier than a mouse; I think just because I use it a lot more often and am more comfortable with it now. The tablet does have its advantages, though, of course; like more fluent, natural, and easier-to-make lines. Hair is a lot easier with a tablet, for instance. So yes, I suppose it's a matter of preference, comfort, and what kind of subject matter you're attempting.

'Twas done with the "Graffiti" program on Facebook. It's like MS Paint, only 100 times more awesome--you can get transparency, for instance, and it is not overtly pixil-y. So yes, 'tis entertaining. :)

Hehe, I think you were in part responsible, yes. And I am glad you were. That movie seems to have the same addicting properties as Pride and Prejudice.

Hehe, thank you! ;D The odd thing is I have only attempted (and failed) at painting with tangible paint once or twice (given, I didn't really give it much of a chance), but when I use digital media, it does seem to get that more "painterly" look, as you said... which is weird. o.O

And I struggled getting that progression (well, both progressions) to work--struggled. So, I'm glad you liked 'em. ;)

And thank you. :) MS Paint is possibly the most underrated program of all time--even more than... skifree. You can't really get translucency with Paint as you can with the "Graffiti" program, but it still is an almost endless source of amusement. ;)

I was strangely pleased with how "subconscious" this was (not subject to usual conscious anxieties / constraints / hesitations, defense mechanisms, botulism, etc.), and pleased with how it looks from "far away":



These Paint drawings will be worth aprox. 50 cents 100 years from now. Let the bidding begin! o_O

Was this done today? If so, it is rather subconscious if you are, like me, obsessed with tornadoes. Look at that tornado-like shape leading to the tree. The grass and even the tree itself all seem to be struggling against mighty wind.

Hmmm. I like your description. 'Squite poetic, psychoanalytical, and such.

The image is meant to be a slipshod recreation of an actual tree in an actual rainy field we saw whilst driving home today. I didn't have time to photograph it--hence, this sharply inadequate substitute. :(

Edit: Having perused other threads upon AS, I found the "tornado" thread; I actually hadn't heard anything about that until now. That's a bit uncanny; perhaps that was a subconscious element in this drawring. o.O

That's awful, though, what happened. And maybe just a smidge apocalyptic.

Oh. Why, yes, I am right-handed. And the tool I was using (the "/"-shaped tool [how do you like that odd punctuation, Shelby, if you happen to read this?] might have also lent to the directional mark-making. Good call, though. You're ambidextrous, aren't you?
