Science moves us closer to justifying the legalization of marijuana, with the help of a new drug, "Sativex". This marijuana derived painkiller is aimed at easing the pain of MS patients (multiple sclerosis), half of whom complain of chronic pain. This pump-spray pot is avaliable by perscription, and only to Canadians, thanks to our goverments laws against marijuana. The drug went on sale monday, in pharmacies all over Canada.

I'm not sure that's valid any more because the Supreme Court just ruled a couple weeks ago that individual states do not have the right to legalize marijuana for medicinal purposes. However, my state, Colorado used to be one of them.

It used to be these states...
Along with California, nine states have passed laws permitting marijuana use by patients with a doctor's approval: Alaska, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Vermont and Washington. Arizona also has a similar law, but no formal program in place to administer prescription pot.

i think its fucking lame that our goverment clearly outlines that the central goverment has a limit to how much it can police the states, when all they have to do is cut the state fuding and they are forced to comply...

fucking unconstitutional goverment... thats what we've got... patriot act and anti-marijuana campaigns... fucking blind, idiot beuracrats.

anyways yea the US sucks balls, the government made the sad mistake of giving too much power to the states why not unify?... thats just homorific, youl never know the glory of medicinal marijuana, its so fucking good. ( smells like roaches too )

Ive smoked alot of weed in my days, and wheelchair weed (medicinal) was something I rather enjoyed. The only thing is, it didn't smell like roaches it smelled better then BC Skunk. Personally the smell of roaches to me means your jonsing and your picking out of your roach stash to get high. Maybe it wasn't medicinal weed you were smoking it was probably just hash plant or something.

uhh... actually gentlemen, if the states had a bit more power (as they rightly should, as outlined in our F***'N constitution) then it wouldn't be an issue.

States where you can get medicinal marijuana have adopted those laws of their own accord, and honestly it goes against the federal goverments standpoint on drugs.

Then again, states are supposed to be able to govern themselves without interfience from the federal goverment, so long as it doesn't breach the consitiution. The federal goverment gets around this by threating to, or actually cutting funds to the state for roads, recreation, etc.

When there are these 'drug raids' on LICENSED greenhouses, or distributors/users of medicinal marijuana, its the Drug Enforcement Agence, a federally funded and created orginization... its not the state's policemen going door to door with warrants, because the state obviously doesn't have a problem with pot, if they're approving its use as a medication.
