Small piece of trivia: When Saga was hunting for a new keyboard player, they tapped my brother Matt to take Peter Rochon's place. The one thing that kept him from doing so was Matt was expected to place his personal equipment "in hock" to the band; if the album they released didn't make a minimum $ amount, the equipment would have been forfeited to the Management. Matt told them to take a flying leap into fast-moving traffic...

That was probably a good decision as I've never heard of Saga.

The ironic thing is that had Matt joined Saga, he would have ridden their biggest wave because they were, for a few years in the 80's, way up in audience draws as a fairly successful arena/prog rock group. Actually, he's not at all bitter that he missed that "boat".

Right now, I'm listening to Matt's CD of Christmas music he made in '03.

Yeah, they had a run in the 80s, and in many parts of Canada, Germany, and Puerto Rico, and are still very popular in those parts. They've been around since 1978-1979 and are still around today touring and releasing a new cd every 2-3 years. On the Loose and Wind Him Up were their main breakthrough hits
