Re: Christian's photography and stuff

It appears open to the public here, though perhaps I misinterpreted this ad (http://www.citytourcard.com/english/berlin/offers-and-discounts/sights/aquadom/aquadom.html). I can only imagine the...

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

Those mushrooms look soooo edible

The grass picture above with the opaque leaves or seeds reminds me of one that grew near a swamp area on our farm long ago that looked like this: ...

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

Few things are as majestic as storms gathering across a desert. Really enjoyed the clouds and twister. We once saw the begin and end of a double rainbow driving through the Texas panhandle.

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

I most like the two above of clouds from the 28th of May. In one a cloud appears cradled by the trees below. In the second, a crescent moon looks like it is taunting clouds to come after it :.)

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

Thanks so much for all the way cool photos to browse. The marsh and cemetery are outstanding, as well as the stairwell, elevator shaft, reflections on water in the marsh and the lantern/lamp. My...

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

Thank you for finding that out. I just checked the Illinois Extension Office and found winter aconite does grow here. I was looking for something small like that and it looks so much like a cross...

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

I love those! What kind of flower is in the last picture? The lighter yellow roundish ones that kind of look like daisies.

I am SO envious. Ours are not quite peeking through yet. Little green...

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

Since you're studying meteorology, what is it about ice that makes it more shiny than snow? I know it becomes more clear and less opaque, so that it reflects light differently. But is snow just more...

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

I like this one of lights haloed by fog, peering through trees and lying so softly upon the surface of the water.

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

Hmm. Really like those of floes sliding over the waterfalls too. And the ice covered park(?) with the street lamps.

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

I love this last one with the snow shimmering in the grass. Must have lots of phosphorous(?) to reflect so much light. Looks like nature scattered tiny chandeliers across the ground

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

That last one is mesmerizing. For some reason it reminds me of an old TV series called "Dragnet".

The tree in the sun seems like a remarkably tranquil end of the day.

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

Very nice as always. I particularly enjoyed those last several at night. I managed to take a few pictures today and hope to get more tomorrow.

This one is my favorite. I think!

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

You got me good that round :.) I was just about to say I was hard put to pick a favorite this time. But that last picture, of the heating plant at night, is dreamily mesmerizing. It's like being...

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

The moss wins. I know that is biased and totally unfair, but I can't help it

That last one with the roiling clouds is incredible. The sky here was similar today, but I couldn't take a...

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

It's easy to understand why your two favorites are such favorites. They both have a harmony, tranquility, balance and beauty similar to the one I saved as my desktop. That would be this one...

I had NO idea at all that hospital was a German word *lol* Typical American assumption, eh?

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

Love that picture of the homes behind the trees across the water with all those little clouds appearing to poof along in the sky.

And how did the sign for Hospital St. George in Frankfurt come to...

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

Though the ambient colors in the other photos are very appealing, I rather like "old and rusty".

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

I think in this round I like the outside stairs and the third picture of the heating plant. They have a distinct aloofness while characterizing a sort of vulnerability by standing out as they do in...

I can only say the same, however boring that must be becoming. On trips, you must be the designated picture taker, Christian :.)

Re: Christian's photography and stuff

On being bored in classes, I always have paper so I make gum wrapper chains (http://www.gumwrapper.com/). Here's a picture though I only make short ones that end up in the trash.

And here are...
