When was the last time you were crunching down for ages? And for how long?




For me it was the 27th of September for about 20 minutes.

Erm I don't remember the exact date, but it was right after an ice storm in February. The grass, still visible, was all encased in ice and the sight of it made my want to spontaneously combust (don't ask...). So I tiptoed into the center of a patch of grass (to not break the icy sheath upon the surrounding grass) and crouched, on tiptoes, for close to an hour. I went inside not because I lost desire in the subject material, but because I no longer controlled the dexterity in my fingers. It was bad and yet... so good!

Hehe, I know that feeling, plus that every time I put my camera away and am about to warm my hands up I'm always about to see something, that is even more interesting I want to photograph.


Last time was on Monday for 10 minutes, in a dark forest along a road in the middle of nowhere to photograph a dorbeetle. Got ill on that hike.. *sneezes*

Indeed, it takes quite a bit of dedication to sacrifice the circulation in your hands for the sake of taking a photo only you will likely appreciate...

Yes that adventure was only supposed to last 30min or so, but I kept trying to go back in before I would see more stuff that I had to get a shot of. Haha!

That sounds... creepy! A dark forest in the middle of nowhere would give me the willies for sure! I'm sorry you got sick though *sends care package of Puffs Plus Kleenex* I hope you got some good shots out of it though!

Does laying in the grass for ages count too?
