For the member who have that significant other or special someone that participates on this forum like AbletheVoice and Bambucz, or Hamana and Weasel, I guess I wouldn't recommend this thread.
But for the people who has that "special somebody" who doesn't participate on this forum, what are you planning on getting them for Christmas, and why?

Well my idea is for an ex...but I decided my christmas gift for him would be me trying very hard to forgive him. He better appreciate it too. He doesn't deserve it...

I was thinking about a book of poetry. I'd have to write in it myself though. Add some sort of personal touch.

^books are always great gifts imo. They last forever (or at least a long time) and every time you read the book or a line of poetry from the book you are reminded of that person

That's my hope. Though I don't know if A.E. Housman is really the right choice. I'll write inside the book too.

I've been talking to this girl since we met in the summer of 2007, but we really started making efforts to work towards something since the beginning if this past summer. We've been taking in really slow and trying to really get to know each other. Then together, by next summer, we are going to decide if it's worth taking it to the next level.
And as we been getting to know each other, I've been figuring out that she's very stressed out about where her life is going, and she's also is starting to realize that she hasn't and needs to deal with some unresolved personal issues from her past...another big reason why we're taking things slow.
Anyways, I thought the perfect gift would be a nice thoughtful Christmas card that has a gift certificate to a free spa treatment, and massage therapy session. She's never experienced a massage or anything more than just going to get a manicure, so I think she'll really be thrilled with this gift! She needs something like this, so she gets a better idea of what it's like to be able to relax and release tension. Half the time I talk with her even just over the phone, I can sense that she's stressed and tensed in areas she doesn't even realize.
I'm definitely anxious for Christmas just to see her reaction!

Well, since her parents are getting her a DS I'm thinking I'm gonna grab an R4 for my significant other. Either that or just actually buy a couple DS games. Yeah, videogames for christmas. I'm that hardcore.

My boyfriend took me to build-a-bear and I built a dog and got him some clothing. It's very adorable.
I'm getting him a scarf and customizing it. He loves the Flying Spaghetti Monster, I got a white scarf with little dangly yarn off the ends, I plan to create spaghetti monsters on each end so he can stay warm and touch people with noodly appendages when bored.

Six days until the Solstice and I haven't gotten anything yet (bad, bad Phoenix), but we've agreed to exchange gifts after Winter Break so as not to impede proper freaking out about finals.

^ As for relatives, I really want to get my brother and I a pair of these:

so we can have epic battles.
Mine would, of course, be brought back to college with me and will likely be used to *pok* Amphiskios in the face whenever I get bored.
As for the other one:
Part one of teh gift haz been purchase-ified.

How funny must that to play with them while classes in crowded rooms? Someone falling asleep? *pok* *pok* *pok* ^_^
I guess it will surpass our 'blowable laser sword fight' with 4 people having 3 feet flong sowrds in different colours in the last and highest row in experimental physics.. the docent was amused too! ..long long time ago

YES! I want one!! I used to love those things when I was little...my brother had one, and I would always steal it from it and feign a bit of "bad-assness" to cover my overly girlishness. I was such a master shooter - mwhahahaha! ...I should get some of these for my friends, so we'll actually have something to randomly turn to whenever we enter the "*sigh* What fun-sort-of-excursion/activity shall we pursue today?" hehe!
I do rather need to think of something nice for mi madre...I always like doing nice things for her. Hmmm...*ponders* ...:ermm:

I can tell what we got the kids, cuz I know they won't have a chance to read this until after the holidays.....
Bri - 4 pairs of jeans, 2 dresses, leggings, 2 tshirts, 1 polo shirt, Kurt Cobain book, Push Pull CD, jewelry, hair shampoo set, guitar with amp, usually I fill thier stockings with candy.
Alex - a jacket, 2 sweaters, polo shirt, shoes, 1 pair of khaki's, underclothes, 2 sweat pants, a robe, sequels to Catch 22, weight bench, ditto on the stocking. They usually will get gift cards from grandparents, uncle and their dad, which btw gave Bri a new phone a month early. I think he's getting Alex a belt for weight lifing and gloves.
They both should be pretty satisfied with their haul.

Bought him the book 'Alphabet Juice' (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw_0_9?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=alphabet+juice&sprefix=Alphabet+). Because nobody in the world picks apart the English language like my lover.
He got me the More than Complete Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
He wins.
