Well, hockey has come to an end for the year. What did you all think of the Stanley Cup? The season in general? Players who did best? Teams who did best? Anything else?

The Stanley Cup was fun. The Red Wings were clearly the better team (They were the best all year, too), it's a shame they didn't win in Game 5 at home. They outplayed the Pens all overtime, but hey, the Pens delivered first and that's what counts. Marc-Andre Fleury is a great goalie and he kept them in the game.

I'm tired of the Sidney Crosby hype. He's good, but he's not THAT good. Game 3 he played great, nobody is going to deny that, but in game 5 he had THREE 1 on 1 chances and failed to deliver on each one. Add to that that he gave the Wings some of their best chances from his stupid show off behind the back passes and you have a bona-fide failure. He passes the puck well and I respect that, he's just not as good as the NHL wants to hype.

This season was very fun for me as a Caps fan. Caps went from last place to winning their division under a new coach, young players came up big, we picked up Sergei Federov, and Alex Ovechkin is the fucking shit. That boy can do everything, and he deserves the season MVP award without a doubt. Also, his limited grasp of the English language proves hilarious in many situations. It's a shame we lost to the Flyers in round 1, but it was most of those guys' first times in the playoffs. Next year, we're gonna take it further.

Overall, I've enjoyed this season more than any other in a long time. Just was overall very exciting and interesting throughout. I know we've got some hockey fans on here: thoughts?

check VS. channel and the finals were all over NBC.

I enjoyed the playoffs of course. Enjoyed what was a mediocre season at best for the Ducks. they sure didnt play like Champions this playoff season. what a let down.

I would have loved to see the Caps in the playoffs. I guess I shouldn't have been rooting for Philly.

I don't think the Pens played Crosby enough. Malkin-ass sucked the entire finals. Then he scores a goal when it was too late.
Just watching the Wings and Pens it was like Kids versus the Adults. And clearly it shows experience has a lot to do with it.

I cant wait for the fall. Next season!

I stopped watching hockey after the Sabres were definitely not going to the playoffs. I kind of wish I would of watched game #5 of the Stanley Cup Finals...
I heard it was a classic game.

3 overtimes and the red wings had full control. then out of nowhere, homeboy Sykora calls out his game-winning shot and beats Osgood to win.
but before that, the Pens scored with just 30 seconds left in regulation. what a give away.

ARGHGH... as much as I truly, deeply hate the Redwings, I have to admit they were the better team (and thus the best team).

Fuck.

Great series, and I was squealing when the Penguins scored the goal in the third OT and caused another game. Oh man... it was great. Fleury was fantastic, too: like Bleed Black said, he really kept them in the series.

I'm definitely readying myself for next season; it seems too far away. Hopefully my Avs will do better.

I can see why an Avs fan would hate the wings, lol. Much like I hate the Pens.

i was Forsburg wasn't so prone to injury. Joe Sakic needs a teammate.

I know... without Forsburg's magic assists, Sakic's scoring doesn't really happen. Too bad he's getting pretty old.

yeah, they both are getting old. I think Forsburg can go one more season. If he gets injured again, it will be the end of him.
