I'm trying to get somewhere near 36k for the next few years of school. Looking at the math of what i did if i could even get 12k for just this next year I'll be ok. So your solution is simple get loans, scholarships, and grants. I'm willing to risk the ways of student loans, I just don't know how they work. Is there anyway I can get the money for school?

You can usually ask the financial aid office at your college about loans. And you normally have a choice between deferred (that means you don't have to pay until you graduate, or until you have the money) or loans that you pay off as you go.

How about going to a state school? Some of the best schools in the country are state schools. I don't know where you live - Carolina is a top 25 national university - I paid $1200 a semester. My woman is paying about $4000 per year for grad school at the U of Utah. My buddy paid like $600 a quarter at Cal Poly.

I've decided I want to go outta state for college (thats where the money starts beomming a problem), after a long time thinking I decided on going to colorado where i know 1 person so that I am going somewhere where at least I know 1 person. I donno I think i got it figured out. Right now I am going to community college up there so the outta state fees won't kill me then after a year in state fee apply to me so it will be cool. righT?

Every state is different about when you can become considered an in-state student. Check the rules. Carolina used time spent in the state, Utah uses numbers of semester hours taken - which can have very different implications on you. I know it often helps if you move there and start working full time before starting school. You are a state citizen before becoming a student.

Looked into it a little more today, As of now my plan is I'm going to a community college with a dorm up there for a semester (not to mention it is also a few blocks away from where my friend lives) I've got to talk with the admissions office tomarrow if i am lucky the financial aid they offer me will be in-state fees. I'm getting an apartment this summer and then my friend and i are going up to a 4 year school next year together and I'll take out a loan and pay for the rest of it. So I guess the trick now is to pray I get in and have faith that everything will work.
