Recently I've started my exams and I need a way in which to hide any windows (e.g. AS and msn) which I'm not supposed to be looking at... plus it needs to be pretty simple because the screen of my computer faces the door... so anything other than revision is spotted easily. Any suggestions or shortcuts?

You could do what I do. Have the window you need, and then open an extra window. Whenever you need to hide it, just minimize it real quick. Make sure the one you're supposed to have isn't minimized underneath, so that when you minimize the "fun window" the other one is already up.

okay i really don't do this, coz no one can get me studying or off MY computer, so just resize the windows that you aren't supposed to be looking at and put them in the middle or any corner of the screen, and make sure that you can switch to something quick to cover it up when someone comes in. :D
umm... if you need more help just holla at me!

Have something correct open behind and something interesting in a smaller window in front. Use Alt+Tab to switch between the two. Keep the taskbar on autohide so its not obvious that there's another window open.

windows key+d will instantly minimize every window open; pressing it again will maximize them. the windows key is the key with the window on it, usually by the alt key.
also, make sure you have autohide on. just right-click the taskbar and click on properties.

When i cant get a window closed fast enough, i turn off the monitor, then blindly hit CTRL + ALT + DELETE and then hit LEFT to select END TASK. Then hit enter. When my monitor is back on, the window is gone. lol.
Then i just have to make something up. Like i was trying to get my monitor to work.
