Hey, I'm paying for this time...
Anyway, we're at the hostel now.
We're going to the museum with the scary metal person in front of it next. That thing was looking at me, I swear. *shudder*

Sheesh. Mud and Shadow were telling us that they're having fun on their trip. They couldnt say too much because they were paying to be online. Not too hard to understand...

hostel: An inexpensive accommodation, typically in dormitory style. Usually used by younger travelers, as in "youth hostel."

and yeah, for my youth group, we're gonna be going on a mission trip, maybe to spain. and so we'd be staying at a bunch hostels. haha, so tell me how they are, mud.

Aye Backpackers use them over here for cheap nights. It's basically a matress in a small cupboard you can stay in but at least its cheap...

I'm not sure where our hostel is anymore, the last one got knocked down a few years ago.

Haha...yeah, I stayed at one in San Fransisco that was pretty nasty. This one was really nice. There was art on the walls and stuff, and it was clean. It was pretty much like a hotel except we had to share rooms.

Had some VERY embarrasing experiences involving sales tax. Here's an example:
Mud is paying for item clearly marked "$1.00." Very long line. Some people appear to be in a hurry:
CLERK: That'll be 1.09
ME: (hands dollar bill)
CLERK: 1.09
ME: huh?
CLERK: um, 1.09
ME huh?
CLERK um, sir...do you have nine cents?
ME but...it's a dollar
CLERK: Yes, the price is $1.09, sir. You need to give me nine more cents.
ME: No, no. (shows tag)
CLERK: Oh, sorry, tax
ME oooooohh...I'm from Portland, sorry (mumbles) sorry sorry
CLERK (uncomfortable pause) oh...ah...alright. So, do you have nine cents?

haha! I never knew that. How weird. I wouldn't be happy if i had to pay more than the price it says. They should just include it with the price that's on it.

What's especially annoying is glancing at a price like "5.99" and thinking it's only $5, when it's actually like $6.48

hahaha, aww, poor mud. im sure it happens to lots of people! :ponder:

yeah, when me and my family went on vacation in oregon, it was a grand thing not having to pay sales tax.

haha, sharing rooms doesn't sound too bad, when you're with friends and whatnot. especially with good people to flirt with. haha

Yeah trip was freaking awesome. The hostels weren't bad, although the pool room stunk like BO....ew..After I bought Star Wars Revenge of the SIth for GBA I was playing it non-stop on the way back. I had no money left by the time I went to pike place market so me and mud just played ff tactics advance and ROTS until we left. Although I must say the Scifi Muesum + EMP were deffinetly my favorite places...Fun Forest...was...CLOSED! and so we didn't go on any rides and just bummed around and played laser tag in between gift shops. Overall this was probably my favorite vacation besides the whore of an ex.(She really was being a crazy slut...She like molested two girls and like at EMP on the dance floor started grinding on random strangers and decided it would be a good idea to grope them!*Shudder* Thank god I dumped her...)

aw you guys didn't get to go on any of the rides? what a pity.

you should've tried to spend more time exploring pike place market, that place is really cool.
